Question: What impact will AI have on humans?
Answer: An AI-powered content surge paradoxically limits freedom of choice while decreasing exposure to a new ocean of diverse content.
In an AI-driven society, all forms of content multiply without restriction, swamping humanity. This digital downpour includes everything from articles, social media posts, videos, and artworks to poetry, books, images, music, advertising content, entertainment, and porn. Synthetically-created content multiplies without limit.
Yet, not everything in this flood is "wash." With the advent of Super Intelligence, AI refines, tailors, and creates content on a global scale. This individualized content resonates well with its audience, inducing a greater dependency on AI for information and content sourcing.
Faced with the impossibility of processing the growing volumes of data, humans increasingly turn to AI as the primary and even sole source of content. AI identifies, filters, curates, and even produces the content individuals absorb. Consequently, one of the early casualties of the AI-powered content surge is self-limited freedom of choice and decreased exposure to the ocean of diverse content.
